What I Got (#7)

What I Got is a weekly meme hosted here at Cover Analysis by me to show off our brag-worthy books and other brag-worthy things! :D

Vlogging time! :D In the vlog you can't really hear me so I'll give you two choices. Watch the vlog or read the typed version of What I Got after the page break.

Here is the vlog:

And now here is the typed version . . .
Hey, guys! I got a lot of GREAT books this week! I can't wait to show you so without further ado . . .

Bought:
Thank you, Dad! I HAD TO GET A FINISHED COPY OF THE SELECTION! I love that book to bits and just finished re-reading it! <3 I am currently reading The Immortal Rules and it's pretty good so far. :) I also got Tiger's Curse thanks to Jenna (from Making The Grade)'s for recommending it! I LOVE the cover and can't wait to start reading it. As for Grave Mercy ..dude. That is THICK book. I'm going to save it for the summer-time because it will keep me busy for a week or two.

Giveaways Won:
I won a signed copy of Daimon along with an AWESOME bookmark from Dizneee's World of Books. She is so awesome because she only intended to have 1 winner and chose 2 instead. I was the 2nd one! Thank you! Unfortunately I need to read Half-Blood in order to Daimon's full effect and swoon so I'll have to wait to read this one. :(

Borrowed/ARC Relay:
Juli form The Reviews News and Dreamless Designs let me borrow her ARC of Of Poseidon and I AM FREAKING OUT! I am such a greek mythology geek and I am so tempted to run off to my cage and just read it! But, alas, I can't. Ah! I must read it soon! Last but not least The Hunt by Andrew Xia Fukuda! I didn't expect this book at all in the mail but I am not complaining! It's my turn in the The Hunt ARC Relay. This book has been compared to The Hunger Games way too much but *shrugs* Let's see what I think about it.

That's all I got this week! What did you get? Let me see! I'll try my very best to comment on each of them. :) Thanks for stopping by!

Monica

  1. Ahahahahaha you're welcome, and dude, how awesome is it that you got TIGER'S CURSE? VERY awesome!!!! I loved the first two in the series, but I must admit the third one frustrated me with the heroine's obstinate behavior, but ah, oh well. :P

Oh! Right, my "pile-o-meter" post is here! :D

  2. I got The Selection this week, too! I can't wait to read it, especially since you seem to have loved it so much! And I am a HUGE Greek mythology geek, too. Apollo is, like, my favorite mythological charcer/God/whatnot EVER. I mean, the gorgeous god of the sun? No contest. Well, maybe from Ares, because the god of war . . . ANYWAYS, I hope you enjoy all you got this week! I was at B&N this week (I only got to get one book, while you got four, you lucky duck!) and I saw Grave Mercy, too. You are SO right - it's a thick book. Maybe if it's super good it'll go by fast, yes? Here is my Showcase Sunday post: http://www.justabooklover.blogspot.com/2012/05/showcase-sunday-1.html

  3. I'm really excited to read Of Poseidon! I have an ARC too but I have so many other books to read before it :( It makes me sad. lol Also, I'm very jealous for your final copies Immortal Rules and The Selection. I read Immortal Rules and LOVED it and you're the reason why I wanted to read The Selection. I was gifted an ARC of it. I'm reading it now and OMG, yes. It's awesome. Had to stop because I have finals coming up! But yes, I'm super jealous of the final copies! I need to get them myself. I hope you enjoy Grave Mercy! That's one of my favorites for this year! I know a lot of people are not into politics or whatever, but I hope you can love it like I did. Enjoy and happy reading!
