Jamie from The Perpetual Page-Turner did this around the beginning of August and I thought it looked like fun! So I'm going to give it a go. :)
I had to think long and hard about this but it's Rick Riordon with a whooping 8 books --oh no wait! Richelle Mead! Vampire Academy + Bloodlines = 9 books. One of the first authors I ever read!
Best sequel ever:
It's a tie between Through the Ever Night by Veronica Rossi and Unravel Me by Tahereh Mafi. Both of these sequels were mind boggling awesome.
Lots of them! Nobody But Us by Kristin Halbrook, The Iron Queen by Julie Kagawa and Ender's Game by Oscar Scott Card.
Drink of choice while reading:
Water. Agua. You should see the amount of plastic bottles/glasses with ice in my room.
E-reader or Physical Book:
I think this is a no brainer but physical book! It doesn't hurt my eyes as much as reading on an e-reader but I can carry 50 books on my Kindle. Try to do that on vacation or to school with 50 physical books (not that you'd need 50 books, don't judge but I like having options).
Fictional character you probably would have actually dated in high school:
I'm still in high school so the kind of guy I'd want to date now? Josh from the Gallagher Girl series. He is so sweet, someone I'd like to get to know better and someone who could aspire to much more with the right encouragement.
Glad you gave this book a chance:
The Alchemyst by Micheal Scott. For some reason I kept pushing this book further and further away in my bookshelf. Every time I started it, I immediately put it back down but it turned out to be amazing and magical.
Hidden gem book:
Tiger Lily by Jodi Lynn Anderson. Read it. Now.
Important moment in your reading life:
Reading Fallen by Lauren Kate. This book was the one that made me want more, I read Torment then waited a year for Passion since I had some time to kill, I decided to pick up other books like the Twilight series, The Vampire Academy series, The Immortals series, Hush, Hush series and before you know it, Young Adult fiction was my life.
The Iron King by Julie Kagawa. Let me tell you, it's the most deceiving cover ever! I thought I was talking into fluffy faeries and nope, not even close.
Kind of books you won't read:
If it isn't fiction, I probably won't read it but I like being open to anything so there really isn't anything I wouldn't read except erotica.
Longest book you've read:
Breaking Dawn by Stephanie Meyer (756 pages). I read that baby in 2-3 days.
Major book hangover because of:
Canary by Rachele Alpine. It was released August 1st and for two days I couldn't read a book without thinking of Canary. It was hard. It was my first official book hangover, usually I can just start another book without batting an eyelash.
Number of book cases you own:
One! I have an e-reader so I've started purchasing books there. My book shelf is deep so it can hold two rows of books, annoying to organize but great to have.
One book you've read multiple times:
Torment by Lauren Kate. While vacationing, I brought this one to re-read and another one with me to finish but I couldn't find anything else to read so I just kept re-reading it. Not sure how many times I have though.
Preferred place to read:
I like being alone when I read. See, I like to whoop and yell and occasionally mutter curses under my breath. I'm an active reader. Plus I like to smile and look really sad sometimes when I read, others would think I'm crazy!
Quote that inspires you/gives you all the feels from a book you've read:
I feel like it isn't appropriate to share because it's the ending of a book and it isn't much of a quote. One that inspires me is the last page of Requiem by Lauren Oliver, take down the walls.
Mystic City by Theo Lawrence. I had to trudge and I just the main character ...*rants*
Series you started and need to finish (all books are out in series):
- The Gallagher Girls
- The Iron Fey
- The Mortal Instruments (one left to be released)
- The Wolves of Mercy Falls
- The Flappers
- The Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel
Three of your all-time favorite books:
- Incarnate by Jodi Meadows
- Delirium by Lauren Oliver
- Canary by Rachele Alpine
Because of these books I have learned many things that I include in my everyday life.
Unapologetic fangirl for:
LAUREN. KATE. I tweet stalk her. I stalk her website. I've read all her books.
Very excited for this release more than all the others:
- THE FIERY HEART BY RICHELLE MEAD
- THE DREAM THIEVES BY MAGGIE STIEFVATER
- HEREAFTER BY KATE BRIAN
- HOUSE OF HADES BY RICK RIORDAN
Worst bookish habit:
Some people may be against this but I like highlighting my favorite lines in books I like, I usually do it when I re-read them. Whoops?
X marks the spot: Start at the top left of your shelf and pick the 27th book:
Tempest by Julie Cross! Amazing writer, I tell you.
Your latest book purchase:
Cross My Heart and Hope to Spy by Ally Carter. I read it immediately after I bought it and finished it that same day.
ZZZ-snatcher book (last book that kept you up WAY late:
Teadrop by Lauren Kate. I stayed up until 2am finishing this. That Lauren definitely knows how to end things, she has no shock filter.
